Most people think a test drive is just about seeing if they like the vehicle.
It isn't.
In fact, one of the biggest mistakes I see is that people spend the entire test drive looking at the dashboard, pushing buttons, and checking out the technology...
...but they forget to pay attention to the things they'll actually notice every single day.
Here's what you should really be looking for:
✅ Is the seat comfortable after 15–20 minutes?
✅ Can you easily see out of all the windows?
✅ Is there enough room for your family, groceries, pets, or hobbies?
✅ Is road noise louder than you'd like?
✅ Does it feel comfortable pulling into parking spots?
Don't be afraid to drive it like you normally would.
Take it on the highway.
Drive through a parking lot.
Turn around a few times.
Try the backup camera.
Connect your phone.
The more you use the vehicle the way you normally would, the better you'll know if it's the right fit.
Remember...
You're not just buying a vehicle.
You're buying something you'll spend hundreds of hours in over the next several years.
A few extra minutes on the test drive can save you from years of wishing you'd chosen something different.
If you're starting your search or just have questions, I'd be happy to help you compare your options and find the right fit for your lifestyle.
